BIBS Faculty Granted Two National Natural Science Foundation Projects

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) recently announced the list of approved projects for 2023. Two projects led by faculty members from Bay Area International Business School(BIBS) have been recognized by the NSFC Young Scientists Fund. These projects are Dr. Wang Zheng's “Study on Wind Power Potential and Economic Benefits at Different Altitudes in China under the Carbon Neutrality Context”, and Dr. Wu Xiaosong's “Research on Complex Risk Assessment and Governance of Digital Project Clusters from a Configuration Perspective.”

Dr. Wang Zheng's project, Study on Wind Power Potential and Economic Benefits at Different Altitudes in China under the Carbon Neutrality Context, is of paramount importance for identifying the wind power development pathway in China under the dual carbon goals. It aspires to surmount technological challenges, streamline cost structures, and optimize investment efficiency within the wind energy sector.

Dr. Wu Xiaosong's project, Research on Complex Risk Assessment and Governance of Digital Project Clusters from a Configuration Perspective, is set to address the existing research gap concerning the risks and governance intricacies prevalent in current digital project clusters. It promises both theoretical insights and practical guidance to assist Chinese enterprises in successfully navigating their digital transformations.

This achievement signifies the second instance in which BIBS faculty members have secured NSFC projects, following the approval of Dr. Chen Yingdong's NSFC project in 2022. As BIBS continues its dedication to advancing high-quality scientific research, the school will endeavor to foster a conducive research environment for its faculty members, thereby further enhancing the school's research capabilities.
